Just hang out, take a deep breath, and be patient. It’ll be worth the wait. By the way, the truck also contains your cocktail-hour beverages.”
I’m NEVER patient before and during catering events.That’s been part of my success.
Unfortunately, this impatience has spilled over into folly from time to time.
My brand of folly?
Rushing into deals.
You may be in a situation yourself where you’re chomping at the bit to “get it done.” Buying or leasing a car or home. Signing up for a health club membership with an annual cost. Leaving one job for another with that enticing “greener grass.”
You’re impatient to sign the paperwork and get started.
You want it to be over with.
One rushed deal cost me six figures.
I neglected to do sufficient due diligence for leasing a catering venue that was a bust. And, why? I was in a hurry to get it done before a competitor snatched it up.
I found out later there were no competitors.
And, why?
Because they saw things I failed to uncover.
