Today is the day, some 2,000 years ago, when Jesus fulfilled his mission, which was to die in our place so that we may have GRACE.
God’s Riches at Christ’s Expense
Imagine His mental agony at the Last Supper when He knew His time had come.
Or how He stood in front of Pontius Pilate, innocent, only to be condemned to death.
Put yourself in His sandals as He carried his burden up the hill, at times falling to his knees, all so the Romans could nail Him to it to suffer a painful death.
Recall how Jesus hung there in agony, looking down on His mother Mary, His beloved disciple John and the jeering crowds.
Dying in our place so that we may have eternal life.
As you sit quietly before God today, what thoughts run through your mind?
Can you feel the agony Jesus felt?
Can you imagine how He suffered?
Would you be willing to do the same?
At the very least, on this day we can sit in reverence, thanking God for Jesus.
1 Peter 3:18
in the spirit.
but made alive
in the flesh
being put to death
bring us to God,
that he might
for the unrighteous,
once for sins,
For Christ also suffered
Thankfully, you’re not called to suffer like Jesus—yet daily you face your own challenges and struggles.
Whether financial, personal or work-related, you have your own crosses to bear.
The good news?
Thanks to Jesus, you’re free to turn it all over to Him.
If He can bear the sins of all humanity, He’s certainly equipped to help you in your times of need.
His GRACE is there for the asking.
Thank You, Jesus!
